Welcome,

You are born. You grow up, under the protection of your parents. You pass through life, one day at a time, only holding a faint light of dreams and ambitions to see past the immediate happenings. You make a life for yourself, some parts of it good, others bad. Hopefully, most happenings will be good. And finally, one day, you die. By that point, you will likely have forgotten much of your life. A few memories remain, always picturing the moments of most intense emotions. Whether it is love, hate or embarrassment is of little importance.

Stories can help you remember more than a few mere memories. They can help you remember your progress and struggle through life, remind you of the personal growth you have endured. They remind you of such when writing them. They remind you of such when looking back upon them and reading them.

Some of the stories on this site are happy, silly little stories. They have messages to send, yes, but their main purpose is to entertain both the writer and the reader. Other stories are deep, grave, disconcerting. Some land in between. Some are good. Some are bad. But no matter what, they are all hallmarks of the path and journey through an average life.

And they serve as a reminder of the importance of imagination, the impact mere word combinations can have and finally, and most importantly, that there is more to life than just life and death. Thoughts and emotions cannot be dismissed just because we turn to dust before the end of the century. Grasp your ideas, shape them, refine them. It takes time and energy, but at the end of the day, you have a story. And you will know, due to the hours you have spent on it, that it was important.
